Tagete
ID de produit: tagete
Description du produit
These are tagete or African Marigold. I originally got the seeds on a trip through France. I took some seeds from an especially beautiful display outside of a French maison. I grow African Marigold because they are very easy to grow. They flower for many months from April though to December. My tagetes normally continue flowering until December when they are eventually killed by snow or extremely low temperatures.
How to Grow:
How to sow: Tagetes should be spread over the surface of the soil and then they should be sightly mixed into the soil with your finger or a pencil. They need reasonably warm conditions to germinate maybe over 15C. You can plant them fairly close together because they translate very well even if they are pulled apart.
How to grow: Once the seedlings are over about 4cm you can transplant them into small pots to get bigger or you can put them where you want them to grow. It may be a good idea to cut off the first flowers so that they put more energy into making a bigger plant rather than flowering.
Routine Care: Make sure that they get enough water and cut off the dead flower heads as much as possible. They don't need any special soil. If the soil is fertile they will get bigger.
