In July we often have a glut of green climbing beans. Our neighbour has just shown us a great recipe which is a real treat. They are totally moreish but are fairly healthy.
First make a typical batter using some flour, an egg, salt and a little milk. Then dip the green beans into the batter.
Put them in hot oil until they are done.
The photo above shows the whole process going from right to left. I can’t understand why I have not tried them before. They are delicious.
